After years of listening to customer and industry feedback, the Recon has arrived to provide excellent performance in a lightweight package. Like all Acker Rigs, it boasts low-end torque and high-end coring speed -complimented by 7 feet of stroke, and mounted on a set of rugged tracks to get you where you need to be. With these features, combined with Auto-Hammer capabilities, all wrapped up in a machine weighing less than 9,000lbs - the Recon is set to handle your next jobsite.
What separates the RECON?
Turbo-Charged Tier 4 Final Engine in Silent Pack Enclosure for Quiet Operation.
The RECON utilizes the same drill head as the REBEL to produce the Low-End Torque and High-End Coring capabilities that Acker drill rigs are known for!
Lightweight package with Heavyweight Performance - including an Auto-Hammer!

Lubrication System -
Provides lubricating oil to drill head and transmission internal parts for extended bearing life.
Welded structural steel supports and guides the rotation and feed components. Hydraulically positioned then rigidly held in position for drilling (from 45° to 90°), hydraulically lowered to the travel position for moving from hole to hole. Includes a crown block with sheaves.
Drill Frame -
Welded structural steel, supports the mast, control panel, winches and cathead.
Dual Action Slide Base –
Provides both side-to-side "wiggle-tail" and in-and-out movement of the drill unit assembly for precise positioning over the hole.
Auger Guide -
Prevents "kick out" when starting new holes. Available in multiple sizes to match preferred auger size.
Control Panel -
All controls and gauges are grouped together in a convenient panel located at the left rear of the machine and facing the rear.
The entire drill is mounted on a welded structural frame and is self-propelled by rubber crawler tracks with independent reversible hydraulic motor drive. The track drive is operated with a remote radio control system.
